It operated domestic services to six destinations and international scheduled services to [[Hohhot]], [[Irkutsk]] and [[Ulan-Ude]]. == History ==
The airline was established in [[2002]] and started operations on [[25 May]] [[2003]]. It was established by [[MIAT Mongolian Airlines]] to feed international services by MIAT, [[Korean Air]], [[Air China]] and [[Aeroflot]] from Ulan Bator. It has 55 employees (at March [[2007]])<ref name="FI"/>. It received its first [[Fokker 50]] in December 2002 and received its [[Fokker 100]] in January [[2006]]. With the arrival of the Fokker 100, Aero Mongolia introduced its first flights to [[South Korea]]. Aero Mongolia leased another Fokker 100 in June 2006. At the end of 2006 the airline started a direct flight route to [[Tianjin]], [[China]].
On 31 October 2007, Mongolian aviation authorities suspended Aero Mongolia flights temporarily after the airline failed safety checks.<ref>{{cite web |url=http://ubpost.mongolnews.mn/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=816&Itemid=0 | title=Aero Mongolia flights stopped | date=2007-11-01 | work=Ulan Bator Post}}</ref> But in the first quarter of 2008 Aero Mongolia has received the license to fly in domestic routes. Now currently using 2 Fokker 50's which were modificated in 2008 in Germany.
