Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Bah has an average literacy rate of 65%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with 59% of the males and 41% of females literate. 15% of the population is under 6 years of age. It is around 70 km from Agra city and around 55 km from Etawah district.It was founded in 1700 by Maharaja Mahendra Kalyan Singh of Bhadawar and was called Kalyanbah. Its name was later corrupted to Bah, which means flow of water. Bah is also famous for '''Bateshwarnath Temple''' (Lord Shiva). November local festival at Bateshwarnath attracts thousands of devotees from nearby areas and states ( Rajasthan & Madhya Pradesh). It is also the educational hub for the nearby villages and also the market place for the near by villages. It also provides water with the rivers around it.
