The organisation does so by providing impartial advice and/or advocacy for aggrieved consumers. CCWater is independent of both the regulator, [[Water Services Regulation Authority|Ofwat]], and the water companies. There are five regional committees. Northern, Central & Eastern, London & South East, Western and Wales. Each representing customers of different water companies.
