He was born in [[Canada]], then moved to [[Minneapolis, Minnesota|Minneapolis]], [[Minnesota]] as a teenager. He is probably most famous for his ''[[Childe Cycle]]'' and the ''[[Dragon Knight|Dragon Knight series]]''. He won three [[Hugo award]]s and one [[Nebula award]].
For a great part of his life, Dickson suffered from the effects of [[asthma]].
