'''Hidra''' is a [[Norway|Norwegian]] island near [[Flekkefjord]] in [[Vest-Agder]]. Its two harbours are [[Rasvåg]] and [[Kirkehavn]].
Hidra, together with [[Nes, Vest-Agder|Nes]], was established as a municipality January 1, 1838 (see [[formannskapsdistrikt]] and [[Nes og Hidra]]). This municipality was, however, split in two municipalities January 1, 1894. Hidra was merged with [[Flekkefjord]] January 1, 1965, before the merger Hidra had a population of 1 277.
Hidra was home to the eccentric personality and artist [[Tatjana Lars Kristian Guldbrandsen]].

The meaning of the name is the same as [[Hitra]].
Until 1918 the name was written ''Hitterø''.
