When used as a noun, the term “iX” refers to the results generated due to the following: An association being created between one or more members and a given information set, e.g. dynamic link (1) A direct point to point transfer (synchronously or asynchronously) occurring between members, e.g. Direct iX (2) Built to be portable across an array of operating systems (e.g. Windows, Linux & Unix), the iX Platform (code name “JeroniMax”) establishes an effective real-time means to engage in information (files and data) exchange. Through use of an online database and JAXTA, a Java based peer networking application programming interface (API), JeroniMax facilitates file and data exchange by providing a system that allows individuals and groups with varying source languages (e.g. Chinese, Japanese etc.) to maintain a persistent connection with people that share a common interest in the given file and / or data. The collection of persistent connections to a given file and or data, here to forward known as an iX Network, is unique because of the perpetual association with the given file and or data. The iX System represents the online collection of registered members and information associations. Each time a member of the iX System wants to send a document (file) or data to another member, they must execute a process known as dynamic linking. JeroniMax combines file sharing with a proprietary system of dynamic linking to create relationships between members in association with a common file or data. For example, a user (User A) is able to upload a file to an online database for the purpose of exchanging the subject file with another member of the iX System. The process of User A creating an association between User B and User A’s file is known as “sending an iX” or “iXing”. When an iX is executed an encrypted link is dynamically generated connecting the newly associated member to the subject document and / or data. Dynamic links, in encrypted format, contain information regarding the following: original sender (1), receiving member (2), file or data name (3), time and date of iX (4), type of iX (5), size of the iX (6)
