#REDIRECT [[IMO]]
Imo is the name of a prototype sour cream substitute, originated at the end of the 1950's. This product was officially intended to be a more heart-healthy "sour cream". It was manufactured by Rod's Fine Foods in the City of Industry, California. It came in a blue and white container with a cow on it. If you hear the word "Imo" and it's not about the music (Emo), it is being used derogatorily to mean "Imitation", bland and white, or, in 60's vernacular "plastic".
