'''Kabba''' is a town in [[Kogi State]] in northern[[Nigeria]]. It lies near the Osse (''ohe'' in [[Okun]]) River, at the intersection of roads from [[Lokoja]], [[Okene]], [[Ogidi]], [[Ado-Ekiti]], and Egbe. The town is near [[Abuja]].
Kabba was the administrative headquarters of the Kabba division of the defunct [[Northern Region, Nigeria|Northern Region]] of Nigeria, which includes all of the current [[Kogi]] State. Kabba is a trade centre for [[coffee]], [[cocoa]], [[yam]]s, [[cassava]], [[corn]] (maize), [[sorghum]], [[shea nut]]s, [[peanut]]s (groundnuts), [[bean]]s, [[cotton]], and woven cloth produced by the Yoruba, Igbira, and other peoples of the surrounding area.
Kabba people speak a dielect called Owe or Okun. Many of them speak Yoruba as they share many vowels with Yoruba. However they are not youruba, they are Owe people.
