It can be regarded as the successor to Great North Radio which was a small network in the North East consisted of the now Magic 1170 and Magic 1152. Preston's Red Rose Gold was the last to be converted to the Magic brand, in 2000, two or so years since the conversion of the majority of the stations. The stations play music targeted at people aged between 35 and 54, with their playlist predominantly consisting of hits from the 1960s and 1970s, though music from other decades is included in the mix. The London station is more laid-back with easy listening hits and little presenter interaction, in contrast the Magic AM stations in Northern England play mostly music from the 1960s and 1970s, and are less laid-back with presenters have more room to converse with their audience. ==Directory of stations== *London - Magic 105.4, As well as London, Magic has stations based in Northern England: *Manchester - Piccadilly Magic 1152, *Leeds - Magic 828, *Sheffield - Magic AM, *Hull - Magic 1161, *Liverpool - Magic 1548, *Preston Magic 999, *Newcastle - Magic 1152 *Stockton-on-Tees - Magic 1170 ==Magic Television== Following the success of the radio stations, Emap set up a corresponding Magic TV station which is available through satellite and digital systems and plays non-stop videos of songs established as typical of the Magic brand. ==Magic Albums== The Magic network have released several albums since the formation of the network in the late 1990s. The albums predominantly feature music on the Magic 105.4 play list, but are also promoted on the Northern England station too. {| class="wikitable" |- ! Album Cover ! Title !
