With approximately 23,000 residents, it is one of the fastest growing cities in the Masovian province. The newcomers are attracted to the city mainly because the prices of land which have skyrocketed recently, have not been as high in Marki. The city of Marki was incorporated in 1967. Marki consists of three parts: Marki proper, Pustelnik, and Struga. Each part of the town has its own post office, with an assigned zip code. The city of Marki has been long associated with industry, and while manufacturing still takes place, service sector is blooming. Close proximity to the Poland's capital make the city a good choice to live. City of Marki has very extensive public education system served with six elementary schools, two preschools, and high school/trade school. While there is no hospital, there are few public and private clinics who serve the residents of the city. City of Marki has three Catholic churches, a Catholic convent, and Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall. Marki is surrounded by forests, and pastures. Tourist attractions: numerous man made ponds, natural lake, hiking trails. Marki is served by two hotels (one in Marki, one in Struga). == External links == * [http://www.marki.pl/ Official webpage] {{coor title dms|52|19|40|N|21|06|30|E}} <br> {{Wołomin County}} {{Masovian-geo-stub}} [[Category:Cities and towns in Masovian Voivodeship]] [[eo:Marki]] [[it:Marki]] [[jv:Marki]] [[lv:Marki]] [[nl:Marki]] [[pl:Marki]] [[pt:Marki]] [[ro:Marki]] [[ru:Марки]] [[simple:Marki]] [[sr:Марки]]
