'''Walter Nicholas ("Nick") Henry Tongue''' (born [[April 8]], [[1973]] in [[Auckland]]) is a former [[Freestyle swimming|freestyle]] [[swimmer]] from [[New Zealand]], who competed at the [[Swimming at the 1996 Summer Olympics|1996 Summer Olympics]] in [[Atlanta, Georgia]] for his native country.
His biggest success came in [[1995]], at the second edition of the [[1995 FINA Short Course World Championships|FINA World SC Championships]] in [[Rio de Janeiro, Brazil]], where Tongue won the gold medal with the Men's 4x100 Medley Relay Team. This was a New Zealand record time and was the 4th fastest time ever recorded swimming achievements.
Tongue attended two consecutive [[Commonwealth Games]], starting in [[1994 Commonwealth Games|1994]]. At this first appearance in [[Victoria, Canada]] he won the silver medal with the Men's 4x100m Freestyle Relay Team.
