==Personal life==
In the 1980s she joined the [[Hare Krishna]] movement and recorded at the movement's [[recording studio]]s. She lives with her husband (a fellow [[priest]]) and daughter Celeste in [[London]]. Elliott is of part [[Somalia|Somali]] ancestry.
X-Ray Spex are best known for their album ''[[Germ Free Adolescents]]'' released on EMI in 1978. [[Neneh Cherry]] was impressed enough to cover the title track. A reunion album ''Conscious Consumer'' in 1995 echoed the concerns of the band's debut.
