Rathi is also a very common surname in Maheshwaris. Rathi is also a dialect of [[Punjabi]] spoken in [[Ratia]] and [[Tohana]] in present day [[Haryana]], it is called Rathi after the [[Rathore]] rajputs who held sway on this area. Many of them had been converted to Islam and migrated to Pakistan at its creation in 1947.
