Roman baths were very popular in Ancient Rome. At first they were reasonably unpopular, but soon they becam e a part of daily life with most men taking baths every day before dinner
The Roman baths were an important factor in the way that the public health system was run. Instead of people having to care for themselves like the Greeks, The Romans had many different methods of making sure that even the poor were generally healthy and clean. In the Greek times only rich people could afford to keep clean, and in Ancient Rome, to visit the baths you would have to pay. However the Roman baths are portrayed as such common social places that it would seem they weren’t very expensive. The baths were great places where you would only be able to keep clean, you could eat, exercise, read, drink, shop, socialize, and discuss politics.
The baths had a regular timetable in which you could enter; tired from the hard, working day, covered in grime and dirt, then leave feeling cleansed , refreshed and calm.
