Ryan McCombs entered into the aggressive rock band [[SOiL]], where he took the position of lead vocalist. The band struggled to reach international status {{Fact|date=February 2007}}, releasing one album and one [[EP]]: ''[[El Chupacabra (album)|El Chupacabra]]'' and ''[[Throttle Junkies]]''.
==2005-present: Drowning Pool==
Ryan left [[SOiL]] to be with his family. He was gone for a year. His family and most notably his wife convinced him to continue singing. When he got back into singing, [[SOiL]] had found a new lead singer. His wife told him that if he was to be with a band make sure it was with good people that he could trust. Around this time, [[Drowning Pool]]'s singer [[Jason Jones (singer)|Jason Jones]] left to join [[alternative]] band A.M. Conspiracy. Rumours spread regarding the new singer of Drowning Pool's identity. Drowning Pool announced the new vocalist's identity would be released at [[Ozzfest]] in Dallas, Texas on August 25, 2005. On July 20th 2005, the information was leaked to website [http://www.smnnews.com/index.php?subaction=showcomments&id=1121888017&archive=&start_from=&ucat=& SMNNews], and the newspaper's release was confirmed by both Drowning Pool and Ryan McCombs the next week. Ryan McCombs, as a member of the band, is working on their next studio album, and touring, most notably entertaining troops serving in [[Iraq]].{{Fact|date=February 2007}}
Currently, Ryan McCombs is married and has two sons. He lives in [[Dunkirk, Indiana]].
The first Drowning Pool song released with Ryan McCombs as the singer was, "Rise Up 2006," featured as a bonus downloadable track on the [[WWE Wreckless Intent]] album, and is the theme for ''[[WWE Friday Night SmackDown!]]''. The Saw III soundtrack contains a demo version of "No More", the second track with him on vocals. The non-demo version of the song is track 10 on the album [[Full Circle]].
