See Star Fox for other non-related video game characters Spy Fox is a series of software for five to ten year old children from Humongous Entertainment starring a fictional anthropomorphic fox of the same name. The first game (Dry Cereal) is set to be released on the Wii in 2008. The characters live in a world of anthropomorphic animals who live like humans. There are also several jokes in the games such as Spy Fox's love for pancakes, Professor Quack eating a certain blueprint which shows how a gadget works (see below), and Monkey Penny wearing a karate belt on the boxes but the belt not being shown in the games. Many of the game's names and plot elements are spoofs from the James Bond series. Spy Fox works for a spy agency called Spy Corps. His cohorts include Monkey Penny (his "lazy" assistant), Professor Quack (creator of the Spy Corps gadgets), the Spy Corps Chief and the four-armed, four-sleeved tracking bug, Walter Wireless. There is also a running gag where Professor Quack eats a certain blueprint after telling Spy Fox how a gadget works. There are currently three adventure games in the series: * "Spy Fox in: Dry Cereal" (1997): Spy Fox must save the dairy world from the evil William The Kid and send him to jail. * "Spy Fox 2: Some Assembly Required" (1999): Spy Fox must turn off Napoleon LeRoach's evil dogbot. * "Spy Fox 3: Operation Ozone" (2001): Spy Fox has to save the ozone layer from being depleted by Poodles Galore. Also, there are two arcade-style games featuring Spy Fox: * "Spy Fox in: Cheese Chase" (1997) * "Spy Fox in: Hold the Mustard" (1999) The Spy Fox games each contain several different game paths randomly determined when the player starts a new game. Each path has its own challenges which some players find more challenging than others. The main protagonist of the games, Spy Fox, uses a variety of gadgets to complete his missions. Each game has a bonus ending where the player can catch the villain. The bonus ending is only accessible when the player clicks at the right moment. When run with ScummVM, these games can be played not only on PC or Mac but also on other platforms such as Linux, Unix and game consoles. ==See also== *Freddi Fish *Pajama Sam * Putt-Putt *Fatty Bear ==External links== * SuperKids Software Review: "Spy Fox Operation Ozone" adventure-videogame-stub
