'''Viscount Alanbrooke''', of Brookeborough in the County of Fermanagh, is a title in the [[Peerage of the United Kingdom]]. It was created on [[29 January]] [[1946]] for [[Field Marshal]] [[Alan Brooke, 1st Viscount Alanbrooke|Alan Brooke]]. He had already been created '''Baron Alanbrooke''', of Brookeborough in the County of Fermanagh, on [[18 September]] [[1945]]. Brooke was the sixth son of [[Victor Brooke|Sir Victor Alexander Brooke, 3rd Baronet]] and the uncle of the Prime Minister of Northern Ireland [[Basil Stanlake Brooke, 1st Viscount Brookeborough]]. As of [[2006]] the titles are held by his son, the third Viscount, who succeeded his half-brother, Thomas, who was unmarried and had no children, in [[1972]]. He is also in remainder to the Brooke Baronetcy of Colebrooke, a title held by his kinsman [[Alan Brooke, 3rd Viscount Brookeborough|Alan Henry Brooke, 3rd Viscount Brookeborough]].
